Venture Cup 2013

We received a tip about something called Venture Cup. So we decided to find out what this is and attend the Kick-off party. We were not disapointed. Venture Cup is a national business plan competition for young people with ideas and potential. Why they let us in is beyond us. What appealed to us was that this competition would give us valid study credit (7.5), for something we were going to do anyway, and besides it is something that interests us a great deal too. Honestly the attendance is more important than winning. This cup implies building a network, gathering expertise, getting a second opinion and review for free, which will challenge and motivate us further. This was too interesting to decline.

There were many speakers that night. Leaders and founders of different organizations and businesses gave talks about their experiences and the processes involved in starting up. The most interesting lecture was perhaps Ann-Kristin Johansen who had an idea for a mobile application for first-aid which is launching now  in the US!
